Our annual picnic will be Saturday, August 9, 2008 beginning at 4 PM in the Gazebo Garden of the club. Everything will be provided by the group and we encourage you to bring your families and friends (within reason). We will have Bratwurst and Schnitzel, Spaetzle and salads. Coffee, soft drinks and beer is included. If someone brings something for dessert like a cake or fruit, that would be appreciated. To make sure we have enough food, I need your co-operation by letting me know if you come (or not) and how many in your party.

 

The day after the picnic, Sunday, August 10, 2008, our group is assigned the Bratwurst stand from 10 AM to approx. 5 PM. Please let me know if you can help out in the early or late shift. This is “GERMAN DAY”, normally celebrated at the Alpine Village in Torrance , but due to problems created by them, they have no place for a large crowd. They started tearing down their facility to build something much larger, but didn’t apply for the necessary permits.
